The tides rise and fall, and civilization sets off again. The visions that accompanied the destruction have also brought new life, and humanity is creating a whole new era with them. And you, the Rover, your journey has only just begun.

Wuthering Waves has updated to version 2.1, and many players are playing the game for the first time. I hope this guide can help you get started.

Gameplay Overview

Wuthering Waves is an open-world action RPG game that you can play on Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation, and Mac. The account's data is cross-platform progression between Android, iOS, PC, and PlayStation.

The game features world exploration, puzzle-solving, character progression, boss battles, and collection-based mechanics.

When starting out, you can select between a male or female Rover—purely a cosmetic choice, as both have the same capability attributes and power data.

How to Upgrade the Account Level

The Main Quests are the highest priority to complete in the game. However, after you have completed some of the Main Quests, you will find that you need to reach a certain account level before you can continue accessing the next Main Quests.

When that happens, you can earn experience points to level up in the following ways:

• Completing the Companion Stories, Exploration Quests, or Side Quests
• Exploring the open world, solving puzzles, and opening treasure chests
• Engaging in boss fights and daily activities

Through these ways, you can not only quickly acquire experience needed to upgrade but also collect valuable materials and props.

How Do You Get Powerful Characters and Weapons?

In Wuthering Waves, the most powerful characters and weapons are obtained through the gacha system, "Convene". You can access it via the game's top-right menu.

Gacha Currency & Recommendations

This game has 4-star and 5-star characters, and each Convene costs 160 Astrite or a gacha-specific currency:

• Radiant Tide – Used to Convene one time in the Featured Resonator Convene
• Forging Tide – Used to Convene one time in the Featured Weapon Convene
• Lustrous Tide – Used to Convene one time in the Tidal Chorus

160 Astrite can be exchanged for any of these Convene Tokens. However, it is generally advised not to spend Astrite on the standard Resonator/Weapon Convene unless it involves your favorite character or weapon.

All in all, please use your Astrite carefully in the game.

Beginner Convene

New players can access a discounted Beginner’s Convene with a 20% Convene cost reduction—allowing them to use 40 Lustrous Tide to Convene 50 times.

Exchangeable Convene Rewards

Convene grants Colorful Coral and Blue Coral, which can be used to exchange for various items, such as Radiant Tide, Lustrous Tide, or Forging Tide.

Additionally, duplicate characters will be provided with a Waveband, which enhances their Resonance Chain.

Character Development Tips

As you progress through the Main Quests and Side Quests, you’ll reach Union Level 19, at which point you’ll be able to access the SOL3 Phase Quest to increase your Union Level cap.

However, it’s recommended that you hold off on advancing the SOL3 Phase for now. Doing so will increase the difficulty of monsters and bosses in the world map.

Instead, focus on gathering character materials, weapon materials, and Echoes at this stage.

For players who don’t mind spending, consider purchasing the Pioneer Podcast qualification. By completing the associated tasks, you’ll earn a substantial amount of materials and items, which will speed up your character development process.
