Winter Wingback 2 Evolution Picks in EA Sports FC 25: The Ones to Watch
The Winter Wingback 2 Evolution event is finally over, and truth be told, many of us are looking again at our Ultimate Team construction. Left backs, right backs, wingbacks – all are getting a shit load of love. If you’re anything like me, then you know it’s critical to have some players that can not only play defense but also bring a little extra in the attack department. The Winter Wingback Evolution is about pacing, passing, shooting, and basically just making those guys that much worse. No more slow wingbacks, right?
And the best part? Free download: This evolution is available. But you have to pick left backs that fulfill certain conditions and finish 6 challenges to get there. Easy, right? Anyway enough with the nitty-gritty – lets get into players.
Antonee Robinson – Solid Defensive Player, But Wait, He Can Also Break Things Down.
Ok, Antonee Robinson is not exactly a name you are first like "wow", but believe me after the transformation he is getting way better. That increase in his passer rating? Total game-changer. He’s a defender but now you can use him to drag the ball up the field and open up spots. I’ve played with him a few times since his upgrade and he’s just like, man, he blows me away every time. As if you could have a full-back who actually plays an attacking role, but also doesn’t completely lose his defence role. Bad shit for a left back huh?
Wanderson – Flexibility at Its Best.
Wanderson is cheat code for me. He’s supposed to be a left back but man, do with him what you want. Midfield? Sure. Striker? Why not? You don’t see that type of player every day who can do all that and not break. And he was just better with the Winter Wingback upgrade, no doubt. He’s one of those players who can flip a game on his head because he can be everywhere. Like a Swiss Army Knife for your team. And he’s damned good at all that.
Maxim De Cuyper – The Flank Hell in the Speed Demon Maxm De Cuyper – What is it like on the Flank hell?
Maxim De Cuyper is one of those guys who should not be so overlooked but should be. His pace is beyond mad for a left back. He’s so quick you won’t know how he made it to the opposition box when you’re still pondering your final pass. I have used him to start back-firing and it works. His defensive numbers are fine, yes, but it’s his speed that separates him from other left backs in this tournament. If you’re after those quick-break points, De Cuyper is the guy for you.
Ola Aina – Nothing is Wrong with Him.
And here’s the thing with Ola Aina: He’s not a right back, but he’s a good left back after this evolution. He is, like, a utility man, I know that sounds bad but that’s what it is. He’s versatile. He’s able to advance up the field, contribute on attack, then slide back down into defence when needed. : Have you ever used him both ways, you know how useful he can be in situations like this. His motion and body are elite and he has a good passing game. Definitely worth a look if you want a mixed bag of things.
Weston McKennie – Not Just A CDM But More Than That.
Weston McKennie is mostly a defensive midfielder which wasn’t me at first but after seeing his Winter Wingback upgrade, I thought hey. And honestly? He’s OK as a left back. Maybe it’s the speed or the long passes, but McKennie works left back for him. He has the defensive stuff you want but he has the offensive skills to get things done. Don’t crib on him as a CDM, he has a whole lot more in his locker than you would think.
James Milner – The Ex-Veteran That’s Still Got It.
Look, I get it. James Milner, maybe that isn’t the first thing on your mind when you think of wingbacks but wait for it. The dude is old, and for good reason – he’s big. He’s even more of a viable option after getting a Winter Wingback upgrade. He is physically unreal, he is defensively solid. True story I’ve used him in some pretty bad matches and he’s done everything I want him to do. The best part? His versatility. Not only is he a defensive midfielder, he also has a left-back ability. Milner’s one of those guys you never realize you need until you get him in your team.
Olga Carmona – This Is Without A Doubt The Best One Ever.
So if you’re thinking the best Left Back upgrade in the Winter Wingback 2 Evolution then Olga Carmona is it. She’s a beast. I’ve seen her for Real Madrid and since her winter enlargement she’s not looked back. Either you’re playing her at left back or chasing her up the pitch, she’s your man. She is one of the most dangerous left backs in the league due to her speed, movement and ability to score. I mean come on you get your hands on her you won’t regret it.
